January 5th 2016 Guild Meeting - Kona Challenge Quilt Contest Winners and Show & Tell

We revealed the winners of the 2015 Kona Challenge Quilt Contest at our January 5th Guild Meeting.  See the December 2nd Blog post below for all 12 entries.  

The following are the 4 award winners that were displayed at Sew Vac Ltd during their Customer Appreciation Day party (we had a tie for 3rd Place):

Congratulations to Rebecca Knight for her 1st Place quilt "Improv at the Kona Cabana".  She won a $150. dollar Gift Card for use at Sew Vac Ltd.

Congratulations to Ann Liebovitz for her 2nd Place quilt "Showery Sunset."  She won a $100. Gift Card for use at Sew Vac Ltd.

Another set of Congratulations to Diana Fields and Carol Opstad for their 3rd Place quilts "Road Trip 2015" and "Floating Stars."  They each won $50. Gift Cards for use at Sew Vac Ltd.

We also had some "honorable mentions."  Natalie Barnes of Beyond the Reef Patterns awarded Zina Clark a special award for "Excellent Use of Color and Contrast" and Sylvia Ashley a special award for "Creative Use of Quilting."  They each received a fabric bundle and a couple of Natalie's latest patterns.  Congrats to both!
